Come Browse My TBR Shelves-- Bookcase #5

Even if you don't have cabin fever-- like I do-- feel free to browse my fifth and final To-Be-Read (TBR) bookcase. If you've missed the others, never fear! Here are the links to bookcase one, bookcase two, bookcase three, and bookcase four.

I've purposely left all the file sizes large so you'll be able to manipulate them to see all the book titles. If you're having trouble with any of them, just ask for more information in the comments section. (That's why I've numbered all the shelves.)

With this fifth and final TBR bookcase, you just might be wondering if that's all there is here in Casa Kittling? Or... do you have the feeling that there might be more? In that case, you would be right, but more on that later.

Right now, it's time to take a look at those shelves!

Shelf #1-- from Linda Rodriguez to Mark Seal

Shelf #2-- from Deborah Sharp to Frank Tallis

Shelf #3-- from Andrew Taylor to Simone van der Vlugt

Shelf #4-- from Luca Veste to Anne Zouroudi

Did you see any old friends? Any that you hadn't heard of? Any that you've been meaning to read for a while? Inquiring minds would love to know!

As for the presence of more bookshelves here in Casa Kittling, here's an old photo of one of the two tall, double-wide bookcases I have on either side of the picture window in the living room. I call them my Keeper Cases. Denis and I purchased them at Costco over ten years ago, and they were so big that we had to rent a truck to bring them home. This time, I'm glad I had a partner to help assemble them!

Both of my Keeper Cases need some TLC, but I have the feeling that none of you would be averse to seeing just what's on these two bookcases, too.

Am I right?

If I am, I've got some sorting to do first before I even think of taking any sort of photos!

  1. I see some authors whose books I"ve read: a lot by S.J. Rozan, and that book and more by Lisa Scottoline, most of Maj Sjowall and Per Wahloo's series, several by Richard Galbraith aka J.K. Rowling (all of those) and one by Zouroudi.
You have enough books to keep you going for years just in case you are snowed in(!) or there is a hurricane and you can't get out.

    1. Yes, I love my row of TBR shelves. I doubt there's much of a chance of getting snowed in, but we've experienced severe/massive flooding from tropical storms here in Phoenix. Hopefully that doesn't happen for a long time. It's a chore getting all that mud out of the pool, and I'm not even going to talk about flood water in the house.

  2. So much fun to check out your shelves, Cathy! I noticed you have some Sansom; I like his Matthew Shardlake series very much - what a great sense of history. And you've reminded me that it's been a long time since I read Rebecca Tope's work. I ought to reacquaint myself with that.

  3. Ah, first of all, should I come help you sort out your 'keeper' cases? Ha! Wish I could. And, yes, inquiring minds want to know what's on those as well. OK, here's my list of books I remember fondly that I've read from today's shelves:

The Sparrow - Russell (a crazy book!)
Engineered For Murder - Schumacher (haven't thought about that one for years!)
Everywhere That Mary Went - Scottoline (can't believe you haven't read that one)
Into the Shadows - Shirley Wells (also read others in the series)
Death of Red Heroine - Qiu Xiaolong (take a look at the latest book in that series and the cover)
Mystery On The Isle of Skye - Phyllis Whitney (what a great job she did with mysteries for kids - I have several of them, but not that one)

Also, I love Nancy Turner's books, but haven't read those. You have some treasures, Cathy!!

    1. Wish you could come help me sort out my Keeper Cases, too, Kay. They'd certainly get done faster because I have no inclination whatsoever to touch them right now! LOL

When you mention authors like Nancy Turner, I realize that some of the books currently housed on my TBR bookcases will eventually make the move to the Keeper Cases.

  4. I love seeing your TBR book shelves and how organized they are. I see a few old favorites of mine and many I'm not familiar with. It's like being able to browse someone's book shelves while they step into another room when you visit a home for the first time. I have friends who were dismayed when our libraries closed here in Louisiana due to the pandemic because they had nothing to read. That won't ever happen to me.

    1. And now you know that it certainly won't happen to me either!

  5. I've enjoyed all of these posts, and have added to my TBR list while reading each one :)
Looking forward to the Keeper Cases!

    1. One of these days soon (hopefully) I'll get to work on those Keeper Cases. I've got some weeding to do.

And if I added to anyone's TBR lists with these posts, I consider it a job well done! LOL
