April 2020 Additions to My eBook Stockpile

Anyone who uses an eBook reader knows how easy it is to have a substantial "digital security blanket"-- or an eBook stockpile. Occasionally I tell myself to stop adding books to my Kindle. After all, I have almost 400 on mine, but... what am I to do when a book I've wanted to read for a long time suddenly goes on sale for 99¢? You know what I'm talking about, right? I thought so!

These are the books I just couldn't resist last month. I've grouped them according to genre or subgenre, and if you click on any of the titles, you'll be taken to Amazon US for more information. I'm not an affiliate of Amazon, I just buy their eBooks.

Enough talking! Let's get to the books!

  1. You are braver than I. I am not sure that I want to quantify exactly how many books I 1-click!

    1. I don't know why, but it doesn't bother me a bit.

  2. Oh, I hope you'll like After She Wrote Him, Cathy. I think Sulari Gentill is so talented, and her series is excellent, in my opinion. And I see you have Laidlaw, too. Not a happy, easy book, but in my opinion, an excellent novel. It's a classic in Scottish noir.

    1. I read an article in which so many of my favorite authors listed Laidlaw as one of their favorites that I jumped on it when it was on sale.

  3. I'd like to read a book by Laidlaw, but no library now and I don't have an ereader. And I"m buying real books! And I think right now I need humor and distraction.

  4. So many great covers. I'd choose some of these for the covers alone.

    1. My favorite is probably Love, Fiercely because John Singer Sargent is one of my favorite artists.

  5. I dare not confess how often I fall prey....seriously, I'm not confessing or telling how many books I have on my Kindle. Hey, did you ever read Marlys Millhiser's book, The Mirror? Read it back in my late teens or early 20's - loved it so very much. Don't think I ever read any of her other books. I'll have to check out what's available by her.

    1. I loved Millhiser's The Mirror. There were three reasons why I got Michael's Wife: (1) how much I liked The Mirror, (2) it's set in Arizona, and (3) the synopsis sounded good.

By the way... I know people who have admitted to having anywhere from 1,000 to 4,000 books on their eReaders, so my measly 370 makes me feel like a dilettante! LOL
