On My Radar: Steve Cavanagh's Fifty-Fifty

After reading Steve Cavanagh's Thirteen and meeting the author at The Poisoned Pen, I've been on the lookout for his next book, and I've finally found it. There's going to be a long wait for it, but I don't care-- now it's on my radar!

Let's find out more about it.

Available in the US on 11 August 2020!
Synopsis:

"Two sisters on trial for murder. Both accuse each other.
Who do YOU believe?

Alexandra Avellino has just found her father's mutilated body and needs the police right away. She believes her sister killed him, and that she is still in the house with a knife.

Sofia Avellino has just found her father's mutilated body and needs the police right away. She believes her sister, Alexandra did it, and that she is still in the house, locked in the bathroom.

Both women are to go on trial at the same time. A joint trial in front of one jury.

But one of these women is lying. One of them is a murderer. Sitting in a jail cell, about to go on trial with her sister for murder, you might think that this is the last place she expected to be.
You'd be wrong."

Wow! This definitely sounds like a good one, doesn't it? It is a standalone, not an Eddie Flynn mystery, but I don't care. It's available in the US on August 11, 2020, but if you can't wait to get your hands on it, it will be released in the UK on April 4, 2020. I'm debating on how patient I can be-- how about you?

  1. Wow, this does sound like a good 'un, Cathy! What a setup for a novel! And I like the sound of the characters, too. I can see how your radar would pick up on this one!

  2. Yes, Steve Cavanagh is like that -- can't wait and then rush through the book. I'll bookmark this one and await your review.

  3. Library has his book The Plea, so it's on reserve. I can't seem to last long without a good mystery. I have a book of nonmystery short stories and a funny book by David Rosenfelt. But somehow I also need a page-turning mystery also among the books.
