A Transformed Weekly Link Round-Up

No, this isn't the New and Improved Weekly Link Round-Up, but something else here has been transformed. When I first bought this house in 1981, it was white with dark green trim and a mahogany-stained door. Shortly afterwards it was painted white with black trim and the door was left alone. It's stayed that color scheme ever since. Until now. The drastic change in color was something I've had in mind for years, but I didn't settle on any new colors until our roof was whacked by that storm with its golf ball-sized hail. The new roof is brown, and that's what led me to the new colors. The one thing that you can't see clearly is that the front door is now a bright blue. What do you think?

  1. Cathy - Oh, the new look is beautiful! It's absolutely wonderful. And so are those lovely links, as always. Now, of to see how many of that list of classic novels I've read.

    1. Thanks-- I think the new color scheme is much more indicative of its desert setting. As for those novels, I found my reading wasn't as compatible with this list maker as it has been with others!

  2. First, the house looks lovely. I'll say the blue door is just the right color, though I can't see it.

What I love is the desert flora. Those big cacti look beautiful there.

Thanks for the links. And on the list of classic mysteries that we should have read: I have read 11 of them. I've seen several in film format but, of course, we can't count them.

It's OK. Classic mysteries are not my favorites. There are some newer books. I have read more of those.

    1. Classic mysteries really aren't my thing either, Kathy. Sometimes I feel as though I'm missing out, but most of the time I'm smart enough to just go with my innate preferences.
