This week I'm doing something a bit different. I always enjoy it when others share family photos, so I'm going to share some of mine. (Click on the photos to view them in larger sizes.)
The first pairing shows a couple, Fred and Mable Brookshier Wickline, who had their photo taken in the 1890s. When you look at it, then look at the photo of my cousin Stan Brookshier taken when he was serving in the Marines during the Vietnam War, can you see any family resemblance at all???

As far as I know, this second isn't a family resemblance so much as it's just plain strange. The photograph is of my husband, Denis. The painting, called Gentleman in a Railway Carriage, was painted by James Tissot in 1872. Isn't the resemblance amazing??
