Caite-- Would it be creepier if I said the photo was taken right at the Mexican border along a well-known route for illegals to cross over into the US?
Kathy-- I don't have a clue what it is either. I just thought the decomposition was cool! LOL
Margot-- Thanks!
Kaye-- That is a great mug, isn't it?
Jill-- Denis is the one who gets the photos of the haboobs. This summer they usually came into town as he was driving his bus around and around Sky Harbor!
Whatever this is, it's some sort of plant that didn't survive. One of the coolest things about the plants in the Sonoran Desert is their structure. When you're out on the trail, you can find fallen and dead cacti, and through the various stages of decomposition, you can see how they're put together. Really, really cool!
oh, that is just a tiny bit creepy. creepy and cool.
ReplyDeleteThat's a fabulous photo, but I can't figure out what it is.
ReplyDeleteCathy - Oh, that is very, very cool!
ReplyDeleteWow, definitely weird photo and it is kinda creepy. I love Miss Bookish Girl's coffee mug!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know what it is either! From the title though, I thought maybe you would have a picture of one of the haboobs!
