A Predator Passage Here We Come Weekly Link Round-Up

I'm writing this on Wednesday. Tomorrow, Denis and I have an outing planned for the Phoenix Zoo to check out their new Predator Passage exhibit. For a second, I thought we would have to cancel because I managed to catch a cold, but I'm recuperating so quickly that it shouldn't be a problem-- especially since the weather is supposed to be sunny with the temperature in the high 70s. It's going to be so nice to get out and do something non-medical!

Since I'm procrastinating (I can't get up the intestinal fortitude to completely reorganize my bedroom closet), I'll leave you with a photo of another person I'm very grateful for. This is Alex, the RN who comes to the house every Monday and Wednesday to change the bandages on my leg. He's a treasure.

Alex, cutting some of the bandaging to size.

I have some pumpkin spice muffins to take out of the oven, so enjoy the links!

  1. Oh, I hope you have/had a great time, Cathy. It sounds like a fun outing, and the weather sounds perfect for it. I'm glad you have such good wound care, too; that can make all the difference. Now, I'll just grab a muffin if I may, and then head to Lake Superior...

    1. We did have a good time, Margot, especially when all the grade schoolers got back on their buses and left. Wow, were they loud! LOL

  3. Enjoy your trip to the zoo! And 70 degrees sounds so nice; we're in the low 30s where I live. 🥶

    1. Someone told me long ago that there are two seasons in Phoenix: Heaven and Hell. Right now, we're in Heaven. :-)

  4. Love the "best of" lists. The right-wing book banning craze across this country with ground zero here in Texas is enough to make the blood of a constant reader like myself boil. There seems to be no reasoning with such people. I do sometimes despair of the human race.

  5. One of the good things about the Friday links is that I can work my way through them during the weekend - very nice on a night when I'm tired of looking at screens.

Happy story to start the weekend: the new Bucks County board leader took her oath of office on a stack of banned books :). Enjoy the predators!
