I don't know how I managed it, but I seem to have found a molecule of restraint last month when it came to adding books to my Kindle. Actually, I would imagine that one of the reasons is that I didn't find as many bargains as usual. Ever notice how August always seems to get short shrift?
How many of you have an eBook wishlist at someplace like Amazon and check it daily to see if any of the prices have gone down to where you just have to buy the books? I'm certainly guilty of that. In my own defense, there are certain authors that I will always pay full price for.

You have some great choices here, Cathy. I haven't read an Aline Templeton for a while, and I'm glad of the reminder of her work. And it's good to see you have an Ann Cleeves here. She's never disappointed me, and I do like her way of evoking place and local culture.

DeleteI mentioned Candice Fox. It is the Crimson Lake series that I like so much. Hades that you purchased is a Archer and Bennett series which I haven't read. So am interested in what you think about the start of this series.
ReplyDeleteYes, I remember now that you mentioned Candice Fox, Lynn, which got her on my radar, but someone else specifically mentioned the Archer & Bennett series, and the very next day the first book (Hades) went on sale, and the coincidence was too much for me to resist!

DeleteI'm an Elizabeth Gunn fan, but so far have only read her series set in Minnesota. I have the first book of the Arizona series on my to-read list.
