March 2020 Additions to My eBook Stockpile

I feel rather proud of myself for the books I added to my digital security blanket last month. Somehow I wound up with quite a few credits (probably from previous overindulgences) and, as a result, about a third of the titles below were free. It will probably be a long time before that happens again!

I've grouped these books according to genre/subgenre, and if you want to know more about a specific book, click on the title and you'll be taken to Amazon US for more information. (Simply because I own a Kindle, not because I'm affiliated with Amazon.) If you decide to buy one and you live outside the US, please make sure you're at the correct Amazon website in order for the purchase to go through.

Let's see what I couldn't resist...

~~~ Thriller ~~~
Conviction by Denise Mina set in Scotland.
Odds On by John Lange (Michael Crichton) set in Spain.
Disappearing Earth by Julia Phillips set in Russia.
~~~ Non-Fiction ~~~

The Diary of a Bookseller by Shaun Bythell set in Scotland.

~~~Science Fiction ~~~
The One by John Marrs set in an unspecified location.
~~~Historical Fiction ~~~

The Fairbairn Girls by Una-Mary Parker set in Scotland.

~~~ Short Stories ~~~
Indian Country Noir edited by Sarah Cortez and Liz Martinez set in various locations.
~~~ Literary Mystery ~~~

Nothing More Dangerous by Allen Eskens set in Missouri.

~~~ Amateur Sleuth ~~~
Hiroshima Boy by Naomi Hirahara set in California and Japan.
~~~ Cozy Mystery ~~~

Constable on the Hill by Nicholas Rhea set in England.

How did I do? Did you add any of these to your own wishlists? Which ones? Have you already read any of these? What did you think? Any suggestions? Inquiring minds would love to know!

    1. It's hard to show any kind of restraint, isn't it?

  2. Yes, I've done pretty well clicking and adding books to my Kindle too. I should feel guilty but I really don't. Partly, things are bad and if a few books cheer you then what the heck? But also I feel our purchases must be helping the publishing industry right now. Happy ebook adding, Kathy!

  4. You've got a nice selection there, Cathy! And your post reminded me that I really ought to read more non-fiction than I have been lately. I hope you'll enjoy all of these!

  5. Conviction and Nothing More Dangerous were in my Best Reads of 2019. I hope you enjoy them. I see you are now reading Eight Perfect Murders. Am interested in what you think about the book when finished. It is one that I am interested in reading.

  7. OOh, Eight Perfect Murders. Good idea.
    Conviction was quirky, but good. A light touch to a very serious issue, but with Denise Mina's usual intelligence.
    Nothing More Dangerous is very good, a coming of age story with political overtones and great characters.
    And The Disappearing Earth is unusual in the location and story. I was motivated to read about Indigenous people in Kamchatka.
    Good reading for you ahead!
