- I learned about this from Michele at Southern City Mysteries (Books Make a Difference). If you go to BlogHer and leave a comment about a book that changed your life, a book will be donated to a needy child. Comment as many times as you like, but hurry! This ends TODAY!!

So books in the home help children's education, eh? I grew up in a house full of books of all kinds, so I've known this forever. Sometimes people are really clueless.
ReplyDeleteBarbara-- I'd hate to think how much money was spent on this "ground-breaking" study....
ReplyDeleteBut it is hardly the presence of any old book that makes the difference. I think the parents´ attitude to books is much more important. My parents didn´t own books, but my father took me to the library even before I could read, and no matter how busy my parents were, they never minded that I cuddled up in an armchair with a book or ten every week.
