Mailbox Monday-- Being Good....Again?

Someone please make up a merit badge for me quick before this spell of Being Good vanishes into thin air!

Last week I sent 5 books to new foster homes via Paperback Swap, and I only received 2. Here's the scoop:

--The Firemaker by Peter May (PBS). "Margaret Campbell, an American forensic pathologist, is doing a six-week lecture stint in Beijing. The last thing she expects, or is equipped to deal with, is a serial killer. Teaming up with a local police detective, Margaret gets a crash course in the many levels of Chinese society. This is the first installment of a series that has been very popular in Britain (six novels have been published), and it's easy to see why. Margaret Campbell is a well--crafted heroine, plain speaking and sharp witted, and her partner, Li Yan, possesses all the cultural graces and knowledge of Chinese society Margaret so sorely lacks."

--The Rule Book by Rob Kitchin (from author). "It is April in the Wicklow mountains and a young woman is found dead, seemingly sacrificed. Accompanying her body is Chapter One of "The Rule Book" - a self-help guide for serial killers. The case is assigned to the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation and headed by Detective Superintendent Colm McEvoy. Since the recent death of his wife, McEvoy is a shadow of his former self - two stones lighter with a wardrobe of ill-fitting suits, struggling to quite the cigarettes that killed his wife, and still getting used to being a single parent. Less than twenty-four hours later a second murder is committed. Self-claiming the title 'The Raven', the killer starts to taunt the police and the media. When the third body is discovered it is clear that The Raven intends to slaughter one victim each day until "The Rule Book" is published in full."

A big round of applause for Marcia of The Printed Page for hosting this meme. If you'd like to see the goodies other people found in their mailboxes last week, click on the redhead with the flirty skirt up at the top of this post. See you next week!

Jo-Jo--I'm too broke to add rooms on to my house, so I finally reached the conclusion that I had to pass along books I'd never read again to make room for stacks of TBRs! LOL
