It's Time for...Friday Feud!

It's time for another edition of Friday Feud here at Kittling: Books, and this week we're going to do something a bit different. One rule is disappearing!

This week, only rule that remains is:

--Leave all your answers in the comments section of this post.

I left off the duplicating bit because I'm going to be nosy!

Let's play the Feud!

This week's question:

Name a favorite piece of jewelry that would break your heart if it were lost or damaged. Be as descriptive as you like!

  2. My Grandmother's engagement ring. She died in 1965, and my mother gave the ring to me on my 40th birthday. It's been on my hand ever since.

  3. I'm not a jewelry kind of chick, so it's definitely my wedding ring.

  4. My first choice would be my wedding ring of course, but that one has been taken. So my second choice would be my double stranded pearls that my husband gave me.

  5. My Engagement ring. It is so unique I have had hundreds of comments about it over the last 9 years. The band is wide and curved, it is shaped like a flower with the petals being ruby and the inside of the flower is a small diamond.

  6. The necklace I inherited from my grandma.

  7. A bracelet my dad made.

During WW2, the Aussie soldiers in Nw Guinea had a lot of time on their hands - when they weren't having their heads shot off. Dad belted the daylights out of some threepences and sixpences, cut others up to make joiners and a clasp, and made a lovely silver bracelet.

We can buy me another wedding ring, but my dad is dead. And I fear a lot of Aussie ingenuity has died out with his generation.

  8. Susan--I tend to agree with you. I love my wedding band, but--let's face it--it can be replaced. The "jewelry" I would choose is the silver chain which holds the dog tags of my Grampa and my Dad. Those can't be replaced. I wear the chain whenever we go on long trips. I figure they came home from their long trips in one piece, so their dog tags must have really good mojo.

  9. A long gold chain with a round gold madonna hanging from it. This is Spanish and given to me by my mum many years ago - she was Spanish. The only time it has ever come off is when I had surgery.
