Musing Mondays-- The Revolving Door

Have you ever finished a book, then turned around and immediately re-read it? Why? What book(s)?

I have to admit that I've never done this. I've immediately re-read a chapter or two, but never the entire book. I've never been much for re-reading books in the first place. It's just never appealed to me. The few times that I have done it, it's been years, maybe even a decade or two, in between readings.

What about you? Have you ever immediately re-read a book you've just finished?

  2. I agree with you! I have too many new (to me) books to read, to take the time to re-read a book!

  3. I had to reread "The Shack". Just such beautiful writings, descriptions, and more.

  4. You know, I've re-read a book within a month of reading it the first time, but never back-to-back! Interesting. :)

  5. I'm not much of a re-reader, either. And never immediately.

  6. Nope. I sometimes think that a book will likely repay re-reading at some point, but I'd never start again as soon as I'd finished.

Kerstin Ekman's Blackwater is one that I recently added to my mental re-read list. It's so multifaceted that I'm sure I must have missed some stuff, or at least not given those aspects enough thought.

  7. Thanks for the comments, everyone! I think so many of us are always aware of our looming TBR piles, so a book would have to be exceptional for us to re-read it at all.
