I'm Thinking Sally Field Here (Again)

Just when I thought I could fly beneath the radar for a spell, two more book bloggers appeared out of the blue and gave me awards.


Karin of Karin's Book Nook graced me with the Sisterhood Award, which is all about community and attitude. Thank you so much, Karin!

Lenore of Presenting Lenore awarded me with the Zombie Chicken Award. I'd never seen this one before, and I have to admit that it made me laugh! For those of you who aren't familiar with this award, here's the scoop:

The blogger who receives this award believes in the Tao of the zombie chicken - excellence, grace and persistence in all situations, even in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. These amazing bloggers regularly produce content so remarkable that their readers would brave a raving pack of zombie chickens just to be able to read their words. As a recipient of this world-renowned award, you now have the task of passing it on to at least 5 other worthy bloggers. Do not risk the wrath of the zombie chickens by choosing unwisely or not choosing at all...

Although I'm thrilled with being presented with these awards, I'm not going to follow the rules and formally pass them on to other bloggers. I followed the rules last week to prove that I could be unpredictable, but if I continue to be unpredictable, I become predictable...right? In the case of the Zombie Chicken Award, I may be pressing my luck, but I'm going to take my chances!

Instead I'm going to pass these awards along, in spirit, to all of you who are helping me with my Scene of the Blog feature. I contacted more people over the weekend and received many affirmative replies. The list keeps growing, so Scene of the Blog looks to have a good long run. I thank you all for your friendship, your feeling of community, and your willingness to hold out a helping hand. What a great group of people!
