Saturday Snapshot: Spring at the Desert Botanical Garden

If you'd like to participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme hosted by Alyce on her blog At Home With Books, post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post on Alyce's blog. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don’t post random photos that you find online.

One of the best things about spring here in the Phoenix area is being able to visit the Butterfly Pavilion at the Desert Botanical Garden. It's easy to wear out a set of camera batteries in that one area alone, but when you begin wandering the paths of the garden and see all the critters as well as all the cacti and wildflowers blooming, well... you'd best be carrying more than one set of batteries-- and a spare memory card, too!  As you can see, I found a show-off that just begged to have me take its picture. How could I say no?  (Click the photo if you'd like to see it in a larger size.)
