Thank You

Thank you so much for your words of comfort and condolence. Thank you for the emails, cards, books, special bookmarks... everything.

This has been a difficult time for me, not so much in feeling completely alone. After all, Denis had recently been hospitalized for weeks, and I was used to being in the house alone. However, getting his affairs in order has been another matter. But I shall persist and prevail.

Thank you once again. I hope to be posting again regularly soon.

  2. I've been holding you in my heart, thinking about the adjustment you're going through. As Margot said, we'll be here when you're ready. And here's a {hug} for you.

  3. Yes, we have been thinking of you and knowing that you will do what you can when you are ready. Do special things for yourself as much as possible. And meanwhile, we will appreciate past posts, photos and book reviews and recommendations.

    1. Thank you, Kathy. I need to get back here. I like sitting here talking about books, and it certainly beats the governmental red tape labyrinths (from two countries) that I've been mired in for weeks.

  4. I've thought about you over the weeks and sent positive thoughts your way. As I discovered last year, it is 'so' hard in so many ways losing a loved one that you lived with for years. You take care, Cathy, and be kind to yourself.

    1. Thank you, Cath. I'm trying. (As Denis would say, "I'm very trying." But in a good way.)

  5. I have thought of you often, Cathy, and hoped that you were managing well enough. I don't doubt that all the red tape stuff is daunting. You have been missed, but mostly you have been thought about with love and affection. We'll be here when you are ready to share - whatever you are ready to share. Hugs from me as well!

  6. It doesn't seem right that the whole world doesn't stop when a loved one dies, it just keeps on going and forces you to do the same. Hang in there! I wish I could do more than send hugs and prayers your way.
