How's this for the perfect outdoor spot to read? Shade, book, drink, a view to die for... I can even hear the waves lapping against the shore. Of course, if this was actually my reading spot, my camera would be on that table, too!
Hmm... I wonder how well my camera takes photos of fish?
Oh, yes. I can imagine myself looking out at a lake with book and drink in hand. It reminds me of being in New York State in a cabin on a lake near Cooperstown, and then in Maine on Moosehead Lake (which is mentioned in The Frozen River) where I once vacationed many moons ago. Nothing like swimming in a lake and sitting beside it watching the view, especially at sunset.
ReplyDeleteIt reminds me of times that I've spent in a cabin by a pond up in Arizona's White Mountains, sitting out there reading and watching a mother raccoon and her babies on the other side of the water.
DeleteThis is absolutely beautiful, Cathy! And I like it that it's a picnic table. I'm getting a bit old to be comfortable sitting on a picnic blanket for long... The water looks beautiful, too - very peaceful.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, I didn't picture a picnic table, but I'm with you-- no sitting on a blanket for long. The logistics in getting up again are interesting to say the least. :-)
DeleteI love the mountains! Just beautiful and, yes, peaceful. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm a fellow mountain lover. I never really felt "at home" where I grew up in central Illinois, but the first time I saw mountains and got up in them, I knew "home" was closer.
DeleteThat water and those trees...so beautiful. I'd love to sit there every morning and watch the world go by. :D
ReplyDeleteHeaven!
DeleteOh, yes, please!
ReplyDeleteI assumed it was a table beside my rocking chair...
I'm so critter conscious that I couldn't sit in a rocking chair in case my rocking kept the critters away.
DeleteNope. It's a beautiful spot but I can't read outdoors - too busy looking at what's around me.
ReplyDeleteI admit that I wouldn't get much reading done, Dorothy!
