Nothing much going on around here, so I'm going to make this short and sweet. We're in limbo here at Casa Kittling. At Denis's last appointment with the doctors who performed his back surgery, they took X-rays (as usual) and discovered that one of the screws holding everything together in his spine has come loose. Since then, it's been a series of CT scans and MRIs so the doctors can decide on a course of action. Now we're waiting for Denis to have another MRI with contrast to show if the infection that caused it all is still in his spine. For all intents and purposes, it sounds like Denis may have more surgery in his future.
This, too, shall pass.
I don't know why I was surprised to learn that it is, indeed, possible to have a screw loose.

That's
all for this week! Don't forget to stop by next Friday when I'll be
sharing a freshly selected batch of links for your surfing pleasure.
Sorry to hear about what's going on with Denis, Cathy. I hope the doctors work out what to do soon, so that he can get the right course of action. Thanks, as always for the links, too. Off to China!
ReplyDeleteYou're getting a lot of use out of your passport, Margot! ;-)
DeleteSorry to hear that Denis may be faced with more surgery, Cathy, but damned if I don't admire your sense of humor about all of this. Hang in there...I hope they find another solution for Denis.
ReplyDeleteI hope they do, too, but it looks as if that screw might be about to press on something it shouldn't be pressing on.
DeleteA screw came loose inside him?! That sounds scary. And if he has to go back in for another surgery? Not fun. I'm so sorry. Fingers crossed they figure it out and all goes well for you both.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lark!
DeletePrayers up for Denis and you!
ReplyDeleteI had seen Nora Roberts's post, preceded by a couple of social media comments by other romance authors and followers commenting that the offending parties did not know what they had let themselves in for :). I thoroughly enjoyed it also.
As they would say in the UK: The cheek of some people!
DeleteMy very best wishes to Denis. Dealing with my own health issues at the moment, I can better appreciate what he is going through. Thanks as always for the great links. I will be visiting many of them in coming days.
ReplyDeleteDorothy, I've been thinking about you and hoping you're doing well. *hug*
DeleteSorry Denis has to go through more treatment, more surgery, etc. Hope he can avoid it, but if not, best wishes. And to you, too, and thanks for these links, done despite all of your work at home.
ReplyDeleteWhere there's a will, there's a way, as my mother always said.
DeleteTrue, although my mother also said housework is the lowest form of life on earth and I agree.
ReplyDeleteYou won't find any arguments from here.
DeleteHah!
