Happy Independence Day, Cathy. It's been quiet around here all day long, but I'm expecting the neighborhood sky to light up tonight when the kids blow up their hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of fireworks. Then it sounds like a war zone for about four hours. :-)
Our neighborhood has sounded like a war zone for days in years past, but this year, there was hardly a peep. Denis and I enjoyed being able to hear ourselves think. ;-)

DeleteIt's been a quiet day here, too, until just about now. The fireworks have started. How I HATE them!
ReplyDeleteI don't like them, either. Besides being so cruel to dogs and other animals, I always wonder about fires being started. Everything is tinder dry here.
