Top Ten Tuesday: Books With an Adjective in the Title

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, and I couldn't resist this week's topic: Books With an Adjective in the Title. I decided to choose books with a decidedly feminine angle since I've been celebrating International Women's Day well past the one day it's been given. (I'm thrilled that more and more information is becoming available about remarkable women around the world.)

Let's take a look at my list...

Good women, bad women, hidden genius women, dangerous women, all colors of the rainbow women, indomitable women... and all sorts of covers, too. I had fun picking and choosing for this week's topic, and I hope all of you who participated did, too.

If you want to take part in this fun meme, head over to That Artsy Reader Girl to take a look at the list of subjects and how it all works.

  1. I love your choices, Cathy! And you've reminded me that I want to read My Sister, the Serial Killer. I also really want to read The Indomitable Florence Finch. Some of those true-life stories are better than any fiction!

    1. My sister the Serial Killer is an unusual book. Never read a book like it, and its uniqueness is a standout feature.

  2. Ah such a cool way to do this topic. I've only read Her Hidden Genius of these, which I liked but didn't love as much as I hoped I would.

  3. I only read The Last Woman in the Forest but I see some titles up there I'd like to check out. My favorite genre is mysteries.

  4. What a great list. As I just commented on another blog, I find these memes so interesting and would like to participate but I can't even manage to stay current with my book reviews as it is. So, I guess I'll just continue to enjoy them from the outside.

    1. That's what I usually do. I've found myself participating in this one from time to time because I've been housebound and not able to get out and photograph things like I'd gotten used to.

    1. It does. I remember traveling the streets of Cambridge thinking, "Wow! I'm where those two discovered DNA!" Then I learned that they were a couple of thieves. Grrr!

  6. "Indomitable" is such a great adjective! I love it.

    Happy TTT!

  8. Fun TTT list! You found lots of good titles. I have the Robotham Good Girl, Bad Girl on my TBR list, and I thought My Sister the Serial Killer was a really good book. :D

    1. These titles were all from my unread books on my Kindle, so it's good to see that you liked My Sister the Serial Killer. :-)

  9. Very interesting titles. I'll have to read about these books and decide what to add to the book list mountain.

    2. Yes. But I cheat a bit by saving lists in my bookmarks so I don't have to constantly type in titles onto thhe main lists.

  10. Nice list! I was intrigued by the cover and title of The Last Woman in the Forest - and then found that it's already on my never-dwindling list already :)

And I appreciate the reminder about My Sister the Serial Killer, also. Now that it's been out for a little while, I should be able to suggest it for my book group, because it seems likely to provide plenty of fodder for discussion.
