My legs continue to slowly heal, and spring in all its glory is here in the desert. The bird that built a nest in our cactus remains elusive. (Perhaps it realized that the first strong gust of wind we have will send its nest sailing to Mexico.) Denis and I got our second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine Monday and had absolutely no side effects whatsoever. I'm enjoying my Tombstone roses and all the birdsong so much that I don't feel like waxing poetic over a single thing, so it's time for the links. Well... let me share something with you first!
There's nothing like a BoB (box o' books) from The Poisoned Pen to perk me up! |
Enjoy the links!

So glad to hear that you're feeling better, and that you didn't have side effects from your second dose of vaccine, Cathy! I'm due for mine next weekend, and I'm hoping it'll go smoothly. In the meantime, I'm taking a short trip to Wales to see what those bunnies found...
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping your second dose of vaccine minds its manners and you have no side effects.
DeleteWow...45 prison-escape movies? I never dreamed there were so many that someone would have to work to choose the Top 45.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you guys are doing so much better. We're keeping our heads down again this Easter and not joining the rest of the family at my daughter's house, but hoping that this is the last holiday we are forced to miss. We got a wake-up call two days ago when my wife's best friend lost her younger sister to COVID-19 complications. She is one of four siblings...and the other three have died in the last 14 months, with two of the deaths definitely attributable to COVID. If we were feeling a bit over-anxious to get out, that did the trick.
Great box of books; I've only read the one on the bottom of the stack, but really like it because as the climax begins to peak, it's one surprise after the other - with each surprise topping the previous one I was convinced could not be topped.
That poor family-- I can't imagine what they're going through!
DeleteI, too, was surprised over the prison escape movies. Who knew?
And thanks for the heads up about We Begin at the End. That's always good to hear.
Glad your legs are healing, Cathy! Enjoy that box of books and have a happy Easter. I'm going to check out that Jewish Cookbook collection...
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter, Gretchen!
DeleteNothing like a box of books to improve your mood! Glad your legs are improving so you and Denis can get out and enjoy the spring together. My only side effect from the second Pfizer shot was fatigue. Easy to fix with a couple of naps. ;)
ReplyDeleteNow that's my kind of healing!
DeleteYour box o books looks fantastic, happy reading! Glad the legs continue to heal.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Julia!
DeleteSo glad you and Denis got your second vaccine with no side effects. And that's a nice collection of books you are displaying. I thought And Now She's Gone was an inventive, interesting book. It's the only one I've read in your stack.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the links. Oh, to have 24/7 just to read and relax.
That would certainly be nice!
