I'm going to keep this short and sweet because I'm fairly certain that I'm having an allergic reaction to a shampoo I used last night, and the swelling and itching are driving me around the bend. Ask me if I'm going to use that shampoo again!

Oh, you have two books there from series I really enjoy: Martin Walker's and Caroline Graham's! I hope you'll like them, Cathy! Oooh, and a Coel, too! I'm glad to see Trebek's autobiography, too. He is much missed, and I'll bet it'll be well-written and interesting.

DeleteI've read The Shadow of Death and enjoyed it. I met Jane Willan at Malice a couple of years ago and sat with her at breakfast. She was fun to talk to and is a church pastor. Hope you enjoy all these books! And hope your itching goes away!

DeleteI've had American Dirt on my Kindle forever. I feel like I am never in the mood for it. I need to pitch it to my book club or something in order to actually read it.
ReplyDeleteIt can be a bit amusing sometimes how we have to "trick" ourselves into reading something. I've been guilty of it more than once!
DeleteCan't believe I haven't read the Trebek book yet. I'm still not in the mood for it. First it reminded to much of his imminent death, and now, I guess, it's just too soon.
ReplyDeleteI really liked American Dirt and the way the unjustified criticism (IMO) it received drove it to the top of the bestseller lists for so long. It's a good thriller - with a message. I think the author was really mistreated by the media on this one...but that's me.
I agree with you about American Dirt and I hope to read it soon. As for the Trebek book, it's going to be awhile. I still tear up when I hear Ken Jennings say "Thank you, Alex" at the end of each episode now.
