January 2020 Additions to My eBook Stockpile

I'm going to keep my intro short and sweet. My ankle is a little swollen from my two jaunts to The Poisoned Pen and to the Wildlife World Zoo, so I need to keep it elevated as much as possible.

I went a little wild in January loading eBooks on my Kindle, probably because of the gift cards I was given-- although several were still quite a bargain or even free. I've grouped my acquisitions to my digital security blanket by genre, subgenre, and if you click on the book title, you'll be taken to Amazon US to view its synopsis, etc. If you live outside the US and decide you'd like to purchase one of the titles, please make sure you head to the Amazon site that works for you.

  1. Tempted by many. Luckily, I read some of them, so fewer to add to the TBR list. I notice a Steve Cavanagh theme here. Approve of that, as I have read two of his books and liked them.
    I'll be watching for reviews.
Meanwhile, hope your leg is OK.

    1. The swelling is gone. It's time to get my work done here and then go put the leg up and read.

  2. You've got some interesting ones here, Cathy. I see you have one of Harriet Steel's Nuala mysteries on your list - I like that series, and I hope you'll enjoy that one. One of the things that's impressing me, too, is that you have books there from all over the world; I like variety of settings.

    1. So do I. I'm reading The Fragility of Bodies right now, and I'm enjoying my visit to Buenos Aires.

  3. I really liked The Wild Inside--so much so that I've continued to read Carbo with increasing enthusiasm! I also liked A Killing in the Hills and Two Girls Down! Now, I'm adding some of the other titles to my list--overwhelmed with books I want to read right now!

    1. I don't even think about being overwhelmed. Haven't for years, and I don't know why. When I was at The Poisoned Pen for Chad Dundas' event, Barbara Peters praised Carbo's series to the skies, so naturally I had to indulge my curiosity. I'm glad to hear that you like her books so much.

  4. I've had The Wild Inside on my Kindle for several years but haven't read it yet. I need to do that. Think I actually became aware of that author at that LCC Phoenix that we both attended. Of course, I recommend A Killing in the Hills and that whole series. I have a couple more of these I think, but unread. Enjoy!

    1. It seems that Denis isn't interested in going to LLC, so I'm doing my best to wish it back to Phoenix soon!

  5. I put The Fragility of Bones on hold and the first Carbo and the Luna. The library actually has these books to my amazement.

    1. I just finished reading The Fragility of Bones. How do you feel about graphic sex that really doesn't do anything to advance the story?
