A Learning Something New Weekly Link Round-Up

It's been an enjoyable week here at Casa Kittling, but when I tried to gather my thoughts to tell you exactly why it was so enjoyable, those thoughts scattered like sheep being chased by a wolf. So... take my word for it. It's been a good week!

The only other thing I can think of to mention is that Denis and I watched one of my favorite movies this evening: "Witness" starring Harrison Ford and Kelly McGillis. I've lost track of how many times I've seen this movie, and every time I've seen it, I've thought that this one young Amish man certainly is a looker. This evening, I saw the same young Amish man and thought the same thought; however, I paid more attention to the credits rolling at the end of the film. That handsome young Amish man is Viggo Mortensen quite a few years before he became a king! See? It's absolutely possible to learn something new every day!

  1. Cathy - Witness is one of my favourite movies of all time - ever. And yes, that is indeed Viggo Mortensen. Here's one for you: Have you ever seen the film The Big Chill? Do you know which role Kevin Costner plays in it? Oh, and thanks for the links :-)

    1. I've never seen The Big Chill but isn't that the movie where his entire part wound up on the cutting room floor?

Witness was Viggo's screen debut. I can get lost wandering around in IMDB!

  2. Great links, Cathy! I especially enjoyed the fictional libraries. I had to pin that one on Pinterest!

I love Witness, too, but I haven't seen it in ages. I had no idea that was Viggo Mortenson -- now I'll have to watch it just to show my daughter, the LOTR fan(atic)! (Note to self: move Witness higher on my to-watch list.)

    1. Yes, that fictional libraries one was great! :-)

I hadn't seen Witness in ages either, and I don't quite know what made me choose that movie for us to watch last week. I'm glad I did.

I could watch The Return of the King over and over. "I am no man!"
