Saturday Snapshot at the Desert Botanical Garden

Denis and I went to the Desert Botanical Garden here in Phoenix this week, and I fell in love with the pattern of sunlight and shadow on fallen golden blossoms beneath a palo verde tree.

  14. Great photograph, almost like an optical illusion. I love it that you and Denis go so often to places like this. Most people just take local sights for granted and don't enjoy them.

  19. When we were in Phoenix area in Dec and Jan, the Palo Verde trees caught my eye. The green bark is unusual.You got a really good picture of it.

  23. That is awesome! The light and shadows....and the tree looks like it's sitting in a hole (but that's not a bad thing). The pattern the shadow makes is so cool.

  26. Transcendental image. I have been to the Botanic Garden in Phoenix and remember the spectacular plant life and beauty there. I especially enjoyed the butterfly area. My DH and I spent several hours at the garden last year. I felt transported. Thanks for bringing back the memories of my visit.
