I should call this my Summer Lolling Edition because I'm on a roll of reading A+ books, and I just don't want to stop. This means that many things haven't been getting done this past week... like blog reading. Ah well. Let's see what I've been able to find whilst in Lazy Slug Mode:
Bookish News & Other Fun Stuff
- The Best Five Books on Everything.
- A wonderful line of bookmarks/ cards: In My Book.
- A bit of humor for you: The Regulator Bookshop predicts that the New R-Book will leave current e-book technologies in the dust.
- How well do you know your literary siblings? Take the quiz!
- I wondered how long it would be before there was a biography of Stieg Larsson available.
- A few head scratchers: Overheard in a bookshop.
- Working at Book Expo America.
- The Wizarding World of Harry Potter has opened at Universal Orlando.
- I've been enjoying a feature called Book Bloggers Abroad on Leeswammes's Blog, and I thought you might, too.
Not much compared to most weeks, but I hope you've been able to find something that piques your interest. Don't forget to stop by next Friday when I'll have a fresh batch of links for your surfing pleasure!
My favorite in Overheard in Bookshops has to be the woman who wanted to know if Anne Frank wrote any other books after her diary. OMG!
ReplyDeleteIf I were in Phoenix, I'd be lolling around too. :D
Barbara-- I think I worked with the public for too long because none of these made me raise an eyebrow. Either that, or the humidity's up, monsoon's coming, and I can't be bothered to raise one. ;)
ReplyDeleteI had missed that BEA article, so thanks for that. Now I'm going to check out the bookshops post.
ReplyDeleteThanks for tipping me off to the Bloggers Around the World. That looks like it's going to be very interesting.
ReplyDeleteI tried the literary siblings quiz - I was rubbish at it! I only got one right and that was a guess.
ReplyDeleteBeth-- Great! Glad I had something for ya. :)
ReplyDeleteMargot-- I agree!
Margaret-- I wasn't very good at it either.
I loved Overheard in a bookshop. haha!
ReplyDeleteKris-- Good stuff in that article!
