Scene of the Blog is taking the week off. I'm lining up January's guests, and it looks as though I'll be looking for more participants by the end of March.
I have pages of prospects, but I'm wondering if an email out of the blue is the best way to go? I'm also pondering the idea of a sign-up sheet here on my blog.
Any suggestions from the studio audience would be appreciated!
Cathy, when I have arranged author interviews I have either emailed direct, or emailed the publicity agent, and so far it has worked. With an award winning blog such as yours I think you will have no trouble in getting willing participants.
ReplyDeleteI think many readers would say they like being able to sign up, but I am sure you will get more participants if you send out emails.
ReplyDeleteI remember that I was quite flattered when you asked me to participate in Scene of the Blog - and I am still very proud that I was the first person featured on your blog :D
I haven't forgotten that you asked me and I haven't delivered - yet. I'm such a procrastinator. I'll try to get to it in January.

ReplyDeleteDid you ever share your own scene of the blog?
ReplyDeleteI really love this feature by the way - so glad you will be continuing. It makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one blogging from my couch ;0)
I think emails are best. But why not both a sign up here and emails. How about a "who would you like to see featured?" post/form?
ReplyDeleteAlso has anyone you featured before moved? You can do a "then and now" Scene of the Blog....
I like the personal email requests myself. I think those are the best...makes it more personal and flattering.
ReplyDeleteI think e-mail requests are best, Cathy. It is more personal, after all...
ReplyDeleteKathy - you asked me a while ago, and I dropped the ball. ... Let me know what you need and I'll get it out to you (must clean off my desk first!)
