Is this a lesson in how all basketball players must sit on the bench when they are not on the floor? I get it: legs spread apart, arms dangled on knees, lean forward with your shoulders hunched, scowl or look intense. Just like the guys. Good shot. Was this a playoff game?
Hey! Diana Taurasi! I just saw her play a couple of weeks ago here in Minnesota! They thoroughly kicked our team's behind. But I did get to see Diana make that crazy buzzer-beater shot from nearly clear across the court. Very cool! :-)
I don't know much about it, but I'm a *huge* Minnesota Timberwolves fan and my husband and I are starting to make an effort to get to know our WNBA team, the Minnesota Lynx, too. The game we were at was our first WNBA game and I was excited that it was against Phoenix, because I remember DT from the NCAA finals UConn vs. Minnesota Gophers. I thought she was awesome back then! She's even better now!
Lezlie-- Denis and I both love the Suns, but the games are so expensive (unless you get nosebleed seats where you're better off watching at home because you'll see more). We've been to a few Mercury games and loved them.

ReplyDeleteMargot--No, it was a regular season game here in Phoenix...complete with 7,000 screaming children. My head rang for 3 days! LOL
ReplyDeleteLezlie---YES! Someone else who knows a bit about the WNBA!
Kathy--So do I!

ReplyDeleteThat is the downside of the NBA -- the expense if you want to watch it in person. :-(
