The weather here has most people running for cover. It's supposed to reach 116 degrees F. (47 degrees C.) today. I thought I'd go through my cornucopia of links and get them ready before taking my book out to sit in the pool to read. Okay... one more sip of cherry limeade and I'm good to go!

Fans will be able to participate in live interactive discussions, author panels, on-demand videos and audio presentations, exclusive articles, book trailers, live chat rooms, and other interactive web-based events. For more info, check out the Poisoned Pen Webcon website.

I'm going to get out of here while the getting's good. Besides, it's almost Pool Time. See you next Sunday with another batch of links!
Cathy, I gave you an award and chatted about your blog in my Sunday Salon post today: http://anovelmenagerie.com/2009/07/12/the-sunday-salon-climbing/
ReplyDeleteCongrats!
Sher
Great list of links in your roundup, as usual!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the linkage :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great list of links. I've been exploring them for what my husband says is hours. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link, Cathy! And it was fun to see some of the other discussions I've missed out on!
ReplyDeleteLezlie
It was interesting to think about what makes a good review (Story Siren). I've just always assumed a review is someone telling what they thought about a book. But of course it's much more than that.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to my post on PD James' excellent advice to reviewers! First time at your blog...
ReplyDeleteGreat links! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks for those links. I'm particularly interested in the most recent round of thinking about negative reviews, and I hadn't seen that post about it.
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff as usual - and thanks for the link to our help wanted post! We've still got 1 slot left - travel or sports or the best you've got to offer - your pick!
ReplyDeleteI loved the post about summing up a classic in 1 word - brevity is not my strong suit so that was good practice!
Thank you so much, Sheri!! :)
ReplyDeleteRhapsody--I'm glad you liked them.
You're welcome, Katie!
Kristen--Something tells me that he was exaggerating just a bit! ;)
Lezlie--You're welcome! I really appreciate it when book bloggers do "link round-ups" because no matter how many blogs you subscribe to, you're always going to miss something!
Susan--It is interesting to think about. Book reviewing is more complex than most people think.
Mindy--You're welcome, and thanks for stopping by!
Jenclair--You're welcome!
Jeanne--You're welcome. I'm glad I could be of help. :)
Bumbles--You're welcome. If that slot's still open, I'll have to give it some thought!
