Scene of the Blog-- Wendy of caribousmom!

This week our travels take us to Northern California to visit Wendy of caribousmom. Although she was given a well-deserved Best Literary Fiction Blog Award during last year's Book Bloggers Appreciation Week, there is so much more to her blog! You can read the trials and tribulations of her house remodel, enter contests and giveaways..but the best part (for me) has always been when she shares news of her fur children. Her blog is named after her wonderful search and rescue dog, Caribou, and I cried as I read of Caribou's illness and death. Now I'm smiling as Wendy shares life with her new fur child, Raven. If you haven't visited Wendy's blog, please take the time to do so. You'll be glad you did!

Now...let's take a look at where Wendy is inspired! Remember--all the photos are clickable so you can view them full size.

This is primarily where I blog - it is my main computer, and as you can see, there is lots of stuff in that armoire!

Here is the couch, showing my laptop on the coffee table. I sometimes like to cuddle on the couch with the laptop to blog.

This photo shows my view out the front window next to my main blogging space which is in our great room...close to the wood stove and kitchen!

What can I say but...what a Great Room! I've always been a fan of wood, stone, leather and a view, and that room has all four in abundance! What a comfortable, inspiring place to read and blog! Thanks so much for letting us take a peek at your creative space, Wendy. We really appreciate it! Oh...and please scratch behind Raven's ears for us, will you?

Where will our Inner Peeping Toms go next Wednesday? Let me give my globe a twirl here.... We'll be paying a visit to Louisiana and Jenclair of A Garden Carried in the Pocket!

  18. Awesome room! I am loving the armoire. I always wanted to have one and the combination of stones around the fireplace and the wood is just the way I'd like to have in my house. Looks perfect for blogging and reading.

  26. That's okay, Wendy! If I had a dollar for every time my name was spelled with a K, I'd be blogging from the beach on Tahiti! LOL And please tell your parents "Thank you!"

  27. Texas Red: Thanks - it is!!

Cathy: *laughs* My name gets mispelled too - usually Wendi or Windy :)

  28. You have a great space for blogging. I love the comfy rocking chair. I would probably spend way too much time drinking tea and rocking.

  29. I love all of the wood and stone! Looks great!

  30. I especially love the view! It must be nice to have that woodburning stove going in the winter cuddling with you furbabies and Kip, and of course, a good book!

  31. What a great space! I love the rustic feel. I could stare at that view all day long. It's much more peaceful than the hustle and bustle where I live.

  36. Nicole: I used to spend more time in the rocker until I got the cats - if you look closely in that photo, you will see Maia sleeping there! They have claimed it as their own :)

    Thanks, Alyce :)

Teddy: I must admit - the woodstove is one of my favorite features of the room...and during a blustery winter day it is just perfect!

Anna: It is peaceful here...for a long time I lived in an urban environment, but once I moved up to the mountains I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. The drawback is that if you need milk at 10:00pm it is a very long drive to the store!!

Luanne: Thanks - aren't the fur children just THE BEST!?!? I will always have at least one fur child in my life - always!

RR: What a nice thing to say! Thank you so much!

Natasha: Thanks for stopping by and checking it out!
