D'Awards! D'Awards!

[Spoken in the voice of the vertically-challenged person who always met da plane on Fantasy Island.]

Don't tell anyone, but I really should be finishing the housework. Four house guests are arriving from the UK tomorrow evening, and I don't want to be rushing around like a crazy woman. However...it's rude not to acknowledge an award when it's given, so it's right and proper that I take a few minutes to deal with this. Right?

First off, Blodeuedd of Book girl of Mur-y-Castell awarded me with the Zombie Chicken Award:

The blogger who receives this award believes in the Tao of the zombie chicken - excellence, grace and persistence in all situations, even in the midst of a zombie apocalypse. These amazing bloggers regularly produce content so remarkable that their readers would brave a raving pack of zombie chickens just to be able to read their inspiring words. As a recipient of this world-renowned award, you now have the task of passing it on to at least 5 other worthy bloggers. Do not risk the wrath of the zombie chickens by choosing unwisely or not choosing at all...
This award still makes me smile, and since it's been flapping its way through the blogosphere, I'm going to tempt fate yet again and not pass it along. A blogoverse filled with flocks of zombie chickens is a bit scary! Thank you so much for this award, and I sincerely hope those fowls won't get through my force field....

Then to add sparkling eyes to match my zombie smile, Wendy of We Read presented me with her very own award--the Grasshopper Award:
So if you’ve received this award you’ll see elements of your page here on mine, you will have amazed me & you will have inspired me to find out ‘how can I do that too’. But perhaps more than that you’ll have made me smile and feel good about myself as I recognise I’m not alone if I’m reading.

1) display the grasshopper award (in my last post) on your blog knowing you have touched someone you may never meet IRL.

2) pass this on to any fellow bloggers who have taught, inspired or entertained you.
To prove my unpredictability, I'm going to pass this award along to the following bloggers who have been sources of help and inspiration to me:

Sheri of A Novel Menagerie
Natasha of Maw Books
Dorte of DJ's Krimiblog
Bernadette of Reactions to Reading
Kerrie of Mysteries in Paradise
Lesa of Lesa's Book Critiques

Once again, my sincerest thanks to Blodeuedd and Wendy for giving these awards to me!
