Mailbox Monday--The Flood Gates Have Closed

I posted some more books into the system at Paperback Swap last week. Now that I know to check how many copies are in the system first, I know immediately which books will get posted to PBS and which books will get donated to the library. Almost all the books I listed were gobbled up--I sent 21 of them to new homes last week. I hope you're all sitting down because I only received THREE books in the mail last week. That's right. THREE. I think that's the lowest number since I started participating in this meme! Here's the lowdown on the three I received:

--Both Sides of Time by Caroline B. Cooney, about a teenager traveling back in time. (I have a weak spot for time travel novels.)

--Sky Coyote by Kage Baker, the second in her "Company" series of time-traveling SciFi. I really enjoyed the first in the series, so I'm looking forward to this one!

--The Lost City of Z: A Tale of Deadly Obsession in the Amazon by David Grann. This is an ARC from Bostick that sounds really good.

That's it! If you'd like to see what other folks have received in their mailboxes, just click on the mailbox at the top of this post. And if you're not sharing with us, why not?

I decided not to crop this week's photo because it hints of another passion of mine. If you take a look out the window, you'll see a birdbath. There's quite a variety of birds that show up to drink and bathe in that birdbath, and it's perfectly positioned for me to take photos which then show up on one of my other blogs. If you'd like to see some of what I'm watching while posting about books, feel free to head on over to Kittling: Personal Observations.

  5. I read BOTH SIDES OF TIME many, many years ago. The plot hasn't stayed with me, but I do remember enjoying it!

GREAT week! I am so impressed!! Yeah PBS!! I've got to get a stack ready to post there - I also need to do what you do and just donate some - I posted a bunch a while ago, but there were already a bunch posted, so I may add more and delete those.
