British Dictionary Sending Words to the Scrap Heap

We sometimes hear of new words being added to a dictionary, but how many times do we hear about the words that are removed? There's an article in the Times Online about the compilers at Collins readying themselves to ax words from the newest edition of their dictionary. I voted for caducity, fubsy and skirr. I've actually used two of them and feel honor bound to use the third (before caducity sets in).
