Scene of the Blog Featuring Debs of Debra's Book Cafe!

This week, we're visiting Debs in Suffolk, England, to see where she vlogs and blogs. In reading through the information she has about herself on Debra's Book Cafe, I discovered that we share at least one favorite author: Kate Morton. If I'm not mistaken, Kate has a new book out here in the US within the next few months, and I can't wait to get my hands on it. I imagine Debs feels the same way!

Debs does a lot of vlogs, and you can see some of them on her blog. (In fact I'm listening to her as I type this, which is a nice feeling of connection.) What will you find on her blog besides vlogs? Lots of reviews, author interviews, and sharing of her DVD collection. If you've never visited Debra's Book Cafe, I hope you'll take this opportunity to do so. Please don't forget to say hello while you're there!

If you're visiting from Debs' blog-- Welcome! I'm glad you decided to stop by and take a look at her reading and blogging spaces. Click on any of the photos to open them in new windows. Once you've finished looking at Debs' spaces, you're more than welcome to visit previous participants. Click on the Scene of the Blog tab at the very top of my header. There are two ways to search: by Blog Name and by Location. Now let's go visit Debs!

Debs' bookshelves
These are my bookshelves as they are at the moment.  I am a self-confessed bookie and one of my very favourite pastimes is rearranging my bookshelves.  Although this is what they look like now, they may all change in a couple of weeks' time!  I tend to keep genres separate, having YA series and standalone books at the top, and chick lit and miscellaneous further down.  No particular reason why it is that way around, and I may even change it around soon...lol!

The middle shelf is deliberately left sort of empty as that is where my laptop is kept when I am not using it (so mainly it is never there lol!)  If I receive any books in the mail or anything bookish I have bought, I put it on this shelf before sorting it out to feature in a video or blog post....

Debs' living room

These are my sofas in my living room where I mainly read.  I absolutely love turquoise, and I find that being around a splash of my favourite colour here and there helps my reading creativity-- plus the sofas are very comfortable and close to the kitchen so I can make  cup of tea!!

More storage!

This is a reasonably new addition to my book storage.  Ive had this unit for quite a while but haven't used it for books until now as my shelves were starting to overspill a bit.....
[None of us ever (ever ever) have this problem, Debs! *wink*]

Where the blogging magic happens!
And this is where the blogging magic happens.  I find that if I had an office and more desk space I would probably accumulate a lot more papers and it would always be messy, which would drive me crazy.  Therefore, as I have my laptop on my dressing table when I need it (and back on the middle shelf of my bookcase when I'm not using it), I don't tend to leave stuff there as I can always see it and there's less space.  I always work better when there's less clutter and more organisation.
[I think I could use a little of your philosophy, Debs!]

Gizmo, the perfect bookie assistant

And this is my trusted companion, Gizmo!  When the camcorder and camera are out, Gizmo is not too far behind, and she is known to appear randomly in many of my You Tube videos!!!  Where you see her here over the camera is normally where she is when i am filming!  She is an excellent bookie assistant lol!!

I'm ready for my close-up, Debs!

Gizmo looks quite the character, Debs. I can see how she'd be the perfect assistant!

Thank you so much for allowing us this glimpse into your reading and blogging spaces. I know we all enjoyed the tour!

Don't forget to stop by next Wednesday when I'll be featuring yet another book blogger in our worldwide community!
