August 2010 New Mystery Releases!

Book lovers are quite a diverse group of people scattered all over the globe, but we do have a few things in common. One of them has to be that we're always on the lookout for new books in our favorite genres.

I am no exception to this. I love crime fiction. I have favorite series and favorite authors, and I just love to know what's coming out so I can get the titles on my Paperback Swap wish list or so I can plan my next trip to The Poisoned Pen.

The following books are my top ten picks for new crime fiction being released in August. The titles are grouped by release dates, and I've included the information you'll need to find it at your favorite book spot. If you'd like to know more about the plot, etc., click on the book cover.

These are the ten crime fiction books being published in August about which I'm most excited. How about you? Are any of these titles being added to your own wish lists? Do tell!

  1. Chapter and Hearse looks good to me - I like this series. An Impartial Witness sounds interesting due to the time frame. Enjoy them when they come out.

  2. I just love the Booktown series by Lorna Barrett! Laura Lipman is another author that I enjoy. August looks like a good month :)

  3. I'm looking forward to Burn and Chapter and Hearse.

BTW, I do love your reader's art every month. This one strikes a chord with me especially; I love trains. Railroad family you know.

  4. These look great! I love cozy mysteries so the Lorna Barrett book looks like fun. I love to discover new books and these are all new to me. Great post!

  5. Kaye-- I've been enjoying this series, too. Have you read the first Bess Crawford mystery? Jacqueline Winspear's Maisie Dobbs?

Molly-- August looks like a very, very good month!

Barbara-- I love Anna Pigeon! I'm glad you like the art... I'm glad I asked the artist for permission to use it because I love her work!

Myckyee-- Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

  6. I like the cover for Broken and City of Veils. That alone makes me interested in them. :)

  7. I have an ARC of I'd Know You Anywhwere for a TLC book tour and I can't wait to dig into it.

  8. Kris-- I already know that City of Veils is marvelous. My review is next week!

Ryan-- Lippman is a wonderful writer!

Thank you for taking the time to make a comment. I really appreciate it!
