It is a sport.
There are better ways to cut down on animal populations like moving them, using contraceptives, etc. Smart conservationists can think up a lot of ways to do this.
Kathy D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/18418720666849497808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1999659125625323494.post-88990415957065100432019-07-19T01:16:00.234-07:002019-07-19T01:16:00.234-07:00I love the cover. It said "Beware. This is proof that I have the patience to stab something 1,000 times." Love it!Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01774383554326288663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1999659125625323494.post-56582143107369480752019-07-19T00:35:44.468-07:002019-07-19T00:35:44.468-07:00I like the cover too. They are going to eat what they kill. Like it or not, in the world today, many herds of animals need to be "thinned" regularly in order for them to remain healthy. I don't like it, but at least these animals' heads are not going to be hanging on a wall or their dead bodies included in sickening selfies on social media. We'll have to agree to disagree on this one.Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01774383554326288663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1999659125625323494.post-32371580991151446652019-07-18T12:31:32.819-07:002019-07-18T12:31:32.819-07:00Me, too-- especially when she's someone like t...Me, too-- especially when she's someone like the sprightly Maud!Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01774383554326288663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1999659125625323494.post-87335755280445106472019-07-18T09:28:44.713-07:002019-07-18T09:28:44.713-07:00Great review! However, I noticed that in the end she outsmarted Irene and Embla.

I read Huss's The Hunting Game before this one, and while the mystery is OK, that fact that I dislike hunting for sport had a bearing on my reaction.

I'm all for people protecting beautiful wild animals.Kathy D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/18418720666849497808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1999659125625323494.post-77669964918702819752019-07-18T04:29:06.152-07:002019-07-18T04:29:06.152-07:00I've read Tursten, Cathy, but not this one.
