Those in my buildin fled when the pandemic began here, along with their owners, or a few stayed but they are rushing in and out and no petting for now. And, of course, I must read the new Sujata Massey book and The Trawlerman, which isn't on this list, but your blog reminded me of it.

The Mystic's Accomplice interests me as it's set in Chicago nearly 100 years ago, and I grew up there, so that location pulls me in. I recently finished reading the first in Galligan's series, Bad Axe County, and it wound up being a Best Read for this year. The Perveen Mistry series set in 1920s India is excellent. I'm reading The Bombay Prince right now and am having a difficult time staying away from it.Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01774383554326288663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1999659125625323494.post-57343281624844835252021-05-26T12:54:23.645-07:002021-05-26T12:54:23.645-07:00It certainly does!It certainly does!Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01774383554326288663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1999659125625323494.post-29934617246997291012021-05-26T08:51:30.676-07:002021-05-26T08:51:30.676-07:00I have the Bombay Prince and The Night Hawks on ho...I have the Bombay Prince and The Night Hawks on hold at the library. I'm in line for them. Just today went in after your blog and put holds on The Mystic's Accomplice, A Rogue's Company and Survive the Night. I have read the firsts two books in the Allison Monclair series
I have the first book in the John Galligan's series of Bad Axe County sitting on my dining room table right now. I saw you gave it five stars. It is also located in southwest Wisconsin where I grew up and now again live there. In the middle of We Begin at the End, which is another book you gave 5 stars. Have found many authors due to your Kittling Books Blog.Lynn T.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08920789124947857728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1999659125625323494.post-26559567834180422942021-05-26T07:55:54.824-07:002021-05-26T07:55:54.824-07:00That is so very frustrating but your final post is...That is so very frustrating but your final post is lovely with so many recommendations. Thankfully, though, it's been a long time since one of my posts vaporizes while in progress. There's one blog that I comment on regularly (on the Blogger platform) where my comment disappears once almost every time I try to comment there. Then the second time around, everything works normally. Software is crazy sometimes.

Wow...that's a lot of books. Are you going to read all of them? I love the cover on Bad Moon Rising (and the title) so much that I know I'd pick that one from the pile first. And the one set in 1920s India would be next because I have always been fascinated by novels set there during that period. I'll be looking for those two for sure.Sam https://www.blogger.com/profile/17448913705757509608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1999659125625323494.post-71327315209462126732021-05-26T04:28:36.891-07:002021-05-26T04:28:36.891-07:00Ugh! From this end, the final product looks great. At any rate, I see a Massey and a Griffiths on the list this time - yay! They all look good, though, so June promises to be a good month for reading!Margot Kinberghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08599589137890528065noreply@blogger.com
