So I wouldn't be so tempted this time. However, if you plonked me in front of the shelf and made me concentrate, I would pick up Land of the Firebird because I like the name, and the Heraldry book because I love maps, flags, emblems. The two I'd really be interested in are How the Scots Invented the Modern World - intriguing premise - and I would love to look at Illustrated Guide to Britain. I suspect it might be your favourite, too.BookChookhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06230711251425187241noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1999659125625323494.post-1882658738901226332009-09-05T08:33:32.803-07:002009-09-05T08:33:32.803-07:00Ah! Not surprising, but I didn´t know you were so interested in Russia and the zars.

I would pull out some of those books on Ireland and Scotland (my two favourite holiday goals). I might not read them from cover to cover, but I would love browsing them & enjoying the pictures, especially recognizing places where we have been.Dorte Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14535044092722418173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1999659125625323494.post-60497100461434636502009-09-05T06:54:42.943-07:002009-09-05T06:54:42.943-07:00Your trip sounds great!
