She's a fabulous character whom I think would fit in well at my table.

As for Agatha... would she be happy if she were invited to a dinner party with no men? I have to admit that I only read a few books in that series. Couldn't stand her being such a man chaser!

You did the same thing I did-- write down the characters' names that popped into your mind first. Lordy, I'm already thinking of another guest list for yet another party!Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01774383554326288663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1999659125625323494.post-46292276127084505862014-10-13T22:02:40.351-07:002014-10-13T22:02:40.351-07:00I have to admit that I had so much fun with my ans...I have to admit that I had so much fun with my answer that I just may continue with more dinners!Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01774383554326288663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1999659125625323494.post-18105951050762971302014-10-13T09:22:29.795-07:002014-10-13T09:22:29.795-07:00What a fun question! I'm sure there is someone I probably forgot and that the list could be somewhat different tomorrow.
I am choosing characters that I would like to meet and talk to. Seeing them in person at a dinner party would be fun. Would they get along? Who knows.
Here is goes.
1. Miss Marple-would love to meet and talk to one of the greatest cozy sleuths of all time.
2 and 3. Elizabeth Lacy and Verna Tidwell from the Darling Dahlias
If I lived in their time period would love to be friends with them
4. Ruth Galloway-She is probably my favorite character right now.
5.Emma Lord -She is the editor and owner of a local newspaper in Alpine Wa. She is the character of Mary Daheim
6. Agatha Raisin- M.C. Beaton-Do I dare invite her? How will she fit in? Oh what fun to see her in action. I would just love to meet her.
7. Elle Quicke from the Veronica Heley series. Likable newly widowed sleuth who lives in a London suburb. She can't bring her dreadful daughter!
8.Anna Pigeon-She might not like a dinner party but she could have a lot of interesting tales to share with us.
9. Cathy Cole-I want to share the dinner party with you so you can meet these characters too. I would like to meet and talk to you too.
10 me
What I noticed after making this list, is for the most part I chose characters who I like and possibly could be friend with. Well, I don't know about Agatha but I would like to see her in action. I, also realized that I didn't add any men detectives. I had left it open to both sexes this is what popped into my head right away,,Lynn T.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08920789124947857728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1999659125625323494.post-15310623441571910162014-10-13T05:06:46.457-07:002014-10-13T05:06:46.457-07:00What an interesting question, Cathy! There are so many fictional detectives I'd like to have dinner with; I think it would take a month of dinners. Hmmmm.... lots of good 'food for thought' though. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
