I like Creed and O'Dell, and certainly the dogs and learning about how they are trained to sniff for evidence. However, this book has much about very injured veterans and PTSD. I find it so painful. I have a friend who was drafted into the Vietnam war, and he has shrapnel in his body, uses long canes and has PTSD. My anti-war feelings are intensified when I read books like this and the veterans' pain. And I probably have to avoid them. It's a good series and interesting and it pulls int he reader.Kathy D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/18418720666849497808noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1999659125625323494.post-91313423270216443962019-05-24T01:39:47.511-07:002019-05-24T01:39:47.511-07:00You won't hear any disagreement from me! ;-)You won't hear any disagreement from me! ;-)Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01774383554326288663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1999659125625323494.post-47756326374110121472019-05-23T16:21:28.823-07:002019-05-23T16:21:28.823-07:00Any book that keeps you up 'til 5am has to be ...Any book that keeps you up 'til 5am has to be good, Cathy! And I'm really glad you enjoyed this one as much as you did. I like the premise, too. It seems this is a series I should really explore. Now I'm in 1922 India.<br />I agree about puppies. i used to dream of breeding Golden Retrievers or Labrador Retrievers and lying down with puppies crawling all over me. That was my mental stress reliever for years. And now I play with the dogs in my building and my block when I see them. Kathy D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/18418720666849497808noreply@blogger.com
