How could I resist sharing this when I've spent so many peaceful, happy hours with two of the best sorts of friends anyone can have-- books and furry companions? (Although I have to admit that my furry lap buddies were dogs and rabbits!)
What a perfect summer reading picture, Cathy! It just looks so peaceful and relaxing, and the furry 'book club member' just makes it that much better. I love it!

ReplyDeleteAnd the faithful dog is right there. (Probably wishing he was smaller so he could fit on the woman's lap, too.)
DeleteI think the dog is still of a size to get turns in her lap. It's more likely a case of the cat insisting on having a turn. And it might feel slightly cooler on the grass for a while.

DeleteI like the image. That scene compared to the beach is my preference, and with critters by my side and on my lap. Only things missing: iced tea and snacks. Otherwise, a perfect way to spend an afternoon.
