The only thing I can think of is that publishers want women to identify with the book, with the woman on the cover, and seeing her face would ruin that. The image on the cover has nothing to do with how I identify with a book, so it doesn't work for me.Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01774383554326288663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1999659125625323494.post-68251859666759135762015-04-23T02:32:53.763-07:002015-04-23T02:32:53.763-07:00However, this cover begs me to ask: What is with ...However, this cover begs me to ask: What is with covers of women's heads, sideways, from the back? I also like the fact that it's tagged as a "Maggie Hope mystery". So I would have gone with the UK cover until you pointed out that the title obscures the London skyline. :-(<br /><br />So it's a toss-up, I suppose.Debbie Rodgershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15630059470408161434noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1999659125625323494.post-10041515033532873392015-04-22T06:30:20.438-07:002015-04-22T06:30:20.438-07:00I like the US cover better too. Also looks like it has a little blurb from Stefanie Pintoff on the front - think that's it. If you know her books and like them, that might sway you to pick it up. I've read this book too and part of the series.
