Bernadette-- Cary Grant and Robert Wagner made being a cat burglar look so romantic! And as for nothing running on time in Italy... yikes! I'm one of these people who are always on time or early!

I only recently found out about this author and he is on my TBR list. I know Stone's Fall is being read by many people right now. I've read the first one in the series and will definitely read others - as soon as I can mooch some. Like you I have a bit of a soft spot for jewel/art thieves - I attribute it to repeated watchings of To Catch a Thief as a teenager

Thanks for sharing this book. I love being able to learn about things at the same time as I'm enjoying a good mystery, art history and provenance included! Sounds like a great read.
