I've just come to realize in the past few years that-- as for me-- it's the act of reading stories that I'm hooked on, not how they're transmitted to my brain and my heart. There are also times, when I'm reading a Stephen King novel for instance, that holding a Kindle or Nook is much easier than hoisting up the physical book! I too do a bit of accounting at year end. This year I read 64 books, down from my usual 100. I buy virtually everything I read, so it's either printed or e-book (66%) for me. E-book is my first choice since it is so much easier to read them while daily exercising. Frankly I am surprised that my printed books are as high a percentage as they are. Go without sleep, create 36-hour days, clone oneself, read in the shower? How is it possible? Especially with all of the blog work, the book reviews, the lovely photography.

What is the secret?

And it's wonderful to find new authors one likes. I've been striving to read new authors and have found some I really like.
