I just love it, it's perfect in every way although, like you, I was not keen on Andrew. I have most of the seasons on dvd and one of these days I'll have a marathon rewatch of the whole lot. Michael Kitchen can do no wrong on my eyes. I'm very partial to the Samantha Stewart role (guess what, that's my daughter's name or was before she married). I remember the first episode when she was introduced and both my husband and I said, "Huh! What a great name!". I so admire what you're doing with that knitting; it's beautiful and reminds me of how much I used to like doing crochet. I was never good at it, but what a sense of creating something. But I agree with you...it's fabulous...acting, writing, sets...all brilliant.

If you like political machinations you might like to track down the original (English) version of House of Cards with a central character called Francis Urquhart instead of Frank Underwood...Michael Kitchen appears in the final series and is very good (sometimes it's known as To Play The King - which is what it was called when it first aired, but usually all 3 series these days seem to go under the single title House of Cards).Bernadettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07641617609801125707noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1999659125625323494.post-81535682389786538852016-01-25T02:05:56.591-07:002016-01-25T02:05:56.591-07:00I love Foyle's War, Michael Kitchen and Honeys...I love Foyle's War, Michael Kitchen and Honeysuckle Weeks. When it ran on PBS here, everything came to a halt and I watched it. It is a favorite of mine in the panoply of British detective shows.

In fact, reading your blog reminds me that I planned on rewatching it. Now, with so many European TV shows on dvd, I haven't had time -- not to mention my reading time.

I'm stuck inside due to the blizzard, and I wish I had these dvd's.

And this blog just taught me something new: cotton yarn. Never heard of it nor did I know that one could knit cotton. It's great you're making dishcloths and other items. So useful and also utilizes your knitting skills.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
