I would think ...It's a very good book, Margot.<br /><br />I would think that one of the ways to persuade children to have more of an interest in history would be to rewrite the textbooks so that it's less date memorization and more about people. This is one of the reasons why people should never settle for the education they encounter at any level (grade school, high school, college).
