Welcome, one and all, to another Wednesday where I introduce a mystery novel published by Oak Tree Press!
Let's face it. The big publishing houses have the big bucks for advertising, so it's very easy for the smaller publishers to be overlooked. This is my opportunity to help bring a bit more attention to a really wonderful group of people-- and to some first-rate reading. As voracious readers, we have an unceasing need to know what's available to read, so let's learn more about Dangerous Impulses and its author, F.M. Meredith!
Dangerous Impulses is the latest in the Rocky Bluff P.D. mystery series. This series features an ensemble of characters, members of the Rocky Bluff P.D. and their families. My intention in writing this series has always been to show how the job affects the families, and that what is happening in the families affects the job.
In Dangerous Impulses, an attractive new-hire captivates Officer Gordon Butler; Officer Felix Zachary’s wife is befuddled by her new baby; Ryan and Barbara Strickland receive unsettling news; while the bloody murder of a mother and her son and an unidentified drug that sickens teenage partiers jolts the Rocky Bluff P.D.
F.M. is also known as Marilyn Meredith, the author of the Deputy Tempe Crabtree series. She first became interested in writing about law enforcement when she lived in a neighborhood filled with police officers and their families. The interest was fanned when her daughter married a police officer, and the tradition has continued with a grandson and grandson-in-law who are deputies.
She also serves on the board of the Public Safety Writers Association, and has many friends in different law enforcement fields. For twenty plus years, she and her husband lived in a small beach community located in Southern California much like the fictional Rocky Bluff. She is a member of three chapters of Sisters in Crime, Epic, and Mystery Writers of America.
The Rocky Bluff series has had three publishers, and F.M. aka Marilyn is happy to finally be settled with Oak Tree Press.
Besides visiting Marilyn's website, you can also follow her on Twitter and Facebook... and if you have a Kindle, Dangerous Impulses is available for $2.99.
