  4. Cathy - Your 'photo brings back memories of the move my family and I made from Illinois to California. Unforgettable beauty in my opinion.

  5. It's too bad there's so much tension in that gorgeous place.

  6. Those wide open spaces are beautiful, but I guess I'm a confirmed Easterner now - it makes me a little nervous. I do like it when you see a thunderstorm coming from so far away. That's a special advantage.

  7. Mary-- Thanks!

Candace-- I thought you might recognize it! :)

Caite-- I almost get the impression that you're wishing yourself out of the shot! LOL

Margot-- People like my Illinois grandparents thought this land was wasted.

Kathy-- They say that beauty often comes at a price, don't they?

Barbara-- And being in the claustrophobic East makes me nervous! LOL (Actually it's not that bad... my allergies and sinuses just make it known that they are NOT pleased.)

  10. That is so beautiful! Reminds me of the couple of books I've read from that region recently. Definitely going to put the area on my list of US places to visit 'one day'.

  11. Cath-- I've been to almost 40 of the states, and Arizona is where I chose to live. There are so many wonderful places to see in this state alone!

  12. Beautiful. Mountains and desert. So different from the mostly flat terrain in Illinois.

  13. Leslie-- Thanks. Having spent the first 18 years of my life in central Illinois, it never felt like Home. When I came to Arizona, I just knew that I'd finally arrived. I'm Home.
