  2. My, that is funny.

Does he just defy the law of gravity, or could he be an antipodean? ;)

  3. Where there's a will, there's a way! Funny picture.

  5. Beautiful tail feathers on that bird. The Mourning Doves in my yard just sit under the feeder and wait for food to fall. Never have I seen them as ambitious as this dove! And rarely do I see their tail feathers fan out.

  6. Caite-- Two species of birds that made Denis and me decide to stop putting seed out for the birds: pigeons and white-winged doves. It didn't matter what sort of feeder we used, these pigs would figure out ways to gobble more than their share!

Dorte-- I think he's just not acquainted with gravity.

Barbara-- It was fun to sit and watch this bird try to figure it all out.

    Kathy-- Yes, the big pig!

Leslie-- There are both Mourning Doves and White-winged Doves here in Phoenix. Mourning Doves are ground feeders here, too. The White-winged Doves, like the one on the feeder, are some of the greatest opportunists when it comes to meal time.
