New Mystery Releases for July 2010!

As anyone who's visited here a time or two knows, I can and do read other genres, but my primary focus of interest is crime fiction-- what we used to call mysteries in the good old days.

I do like to keep current on what new mysteries are on the horizon. That way I can get them added to my Paperback Swap wish list or plan a trip to The Poisoned Pen.

I know several of my loyal readers (thank you!) enjoy reading mysteries, too, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to let you know monthly the new goodies for which I'm keeping my eyes peeled.

Without further ado, here are ten new mysteries being released in July that I'd love to read-- and I hope you will, too! I've included the information you'll need to find it at your favorite book spot, and if you'd like to know more about the plot, etc., click on the book cover.

  1. Seriously, Cathy, more mystery series?? Seriously? LOL You're trying to kill me right?

There are some good ones here I think. I've only read J.A. Jance and not this particular series of hers.

    Love your cowgirl BTW.

  2. I like 'upcoming' lists because I have discovered pre-ordering which is often much cheaper than waiting until publication (like I need an excuse to buy more books but still).

So I've pre-ordered the Inger Ashe Wolfe book for $7 of my Australian dollars, thanks for the tip (I liked the first book featuring Hazel) and I will be keeping an eye out for The Drowning River because I adore Florence (there's no cheap pre-order for that one yet).

  3. Oh I like this. I find it difficult to keep track of all the upcoming books. So thanks for the alerts!

  4. Kay-- Look at it this way: you won't be going alone! LOL The Jance series set in Tucson is a good one. For some reason, it's not as well known as JP or Joanna. (Thanks, I like that cowgirl, too!)

Bernadette-- I've finished reading The Taken, and it's very good. I'm glad you liked my first upcoming list. I enjoy pre-ordering, too. Sometimes I even forget that I've pre-ordered something, and when it arrives, it's just like Christmas!

    Beth-- You're very welcome!
